Police raid 'illegal' industries

MORANG, June 26: A joint team of the representatives of Morang District Administration Office and Nepal Police began to raid the local industries in the charge of evading the revenue.



The administration has begun raiding after the local industries were found running their activities smuggling the Indian goods as to evade the revenue cost.



As per the operation, the administration raided Bishal Chemical Industry based in Biratnagar and locked it on Friday. The industry has been found importing the goods from India evading the revenue and has been found supplying them in the market in the industry’s brand.



The team also seized 4,000 sacks of limestone and 1,800 chemical fertilizers (Urea) and padlocked the store of Pathibhara Agro Industry in Katahari of the district.
