KATHMANDU, Nov 20: Polling has been postponed in a total of 63 places in eight districts across the country.
DIG Tek Prasad Rai, Spokesperson for Nepal Police, said that aerial shots had to be fired in two places of Rautahat, Siraha, Chitwan, Dolakha, Bajura, Dachurla, Doti and Humla districts and polling was postponed in 63 places.
According to him, 38 rounds of aerial shots were fired in eight districts and voting has been postponed in 63 places across the country. “Among them, voting resumed in 47 places and preparations are being made to resume voting in the remaining 16 places,” Spokesperson Rai said.

Voting has been postponed in 13 places of Province 1 and has resumed in 11 places. It is yet to resume in Jhapa and Tehrathum.
Voting has resumed in two places of Madhesh Province where it was postponed earlier.
Out of the 13 polling stations in Bagmati Province in which voting has been postponed, 10 places saw the resumption of voting while the election is yet to resume in three places.
Similarly, voting has been postponed in four places of Gandaki Province, but it has resumed in three places and it is yet to be resumed in one place.
Voting was postponed in eight places of Lumbini province, but it was resumed in seven places and it is yet to be resumed in one place.
Voting resumed in six out of the seven places where it was postponed earlier in Karnali Province.
Likewise, voting was postponed in 15 places of Sudurpaschim Province, but it resumed in seven places and it is yet to be resumed in eight places. Voting was suspended in Balbikas Secondary School, Chatradevi Secondary School, Nandeshwari Secondary School, Mastheshwari Secondary School, Keleshwari Secondary School, Tallasavi Deu Secondary School, Gedikhelle Secondary School, and one place in Jukot Valley of Bajura.
