KATHMANDU, March 17: Police have arrested a man for killing his step mother 18 years ago.
A team of police from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) apprehended Rana Bahadur Thapa aka Kanchha Thapa of Thakre rural municipality-6, Dhading.

According to CIB spokesperson Bel Bahadur Pandey, the CIB has already handed over Thapa to District Police Office, Dhading, for further action.
Shaili Thapa was strangled to death by her step son Rana Bahadur following a dispute over ancestral property in February 2002.
Since then, Rana Bahadur had remained absconding. It has now been revealed that Rana Bahadur had been staying at a house in Teku, Kathmandu after killing his step mother.
