KATHMANDU, January 29: Police have detained 50 cadres of Nepali Congress when they were staging a protest in front of the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar, on Tuesday.

The NC cadres were arrested when they were staging the protest to express solidarity with the hunger strike launched by Dr Govinda KC.
The detained NC cadres have been kept at Nepal Police Club in the capital.
