KATHMANDU, March 12: Police have arrested 14 cadres of the outlawed Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal for their alleged involvement in kidnapping a teenage girl.
Eight men and six women affiliated to the underground outfit were detained from Katari municipality-6 of Udayapur district at around 3 PM today, according to Pradhumna Karki, the chief of Nepal Police, Province 2.

The police have seized three sets of pistol and 11 pieces of socket bomb in possession of the Chand-led party cadres.
Police also succeeded to rescue 14-year-old Garima Moktan from the clutches of kidnappers. The Chand-led cadres had abducted her from Gaurikhel of Ganeshnath Charnath municipality-5 in Dhanusa district.
