POKHARA, May 5: Nepal Sports Journalists Forum, Gandaki, is set to present a Lifetime Achievement Award to Indra Malla in recognition of her contributions to athletics. The award will be bestowed upon Malla during the Pokhara Sports Awards organized by Nepal Sports Journalists Forum, Gandaki.
Deen Nath Baral, the president of the Forum, informed Republica that Malla will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award along with a silver karuwa (a traditional vessel used in Nepali households for serving water and liquor), a trophy, a copper plate, and a dosalla (a traditional ceremonial scarf). The Forum is hosting the '8th Pokhara Sports Award 2080' next Friday at Pokhara City Hall.

Rajaram Paudel, the general secretary of the Forum, stated that the recommendation made by the talent selection committee was approved during the Forum's meeting. Previously, the Forum honored Krishna Thapa, Khadga Bahadur Ranabhat, Dr Birendra Singh Gurung, Chitra Bahadur Gurung, Ananda Ranjit, Ganesh Bahadur Bhattarai, and Bidya Prasad Marsani with this award.
