PM to consult security chiefs on rising crime

KATHMANDU, Dec 23: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai is going to consult home minister and chiefs of all three security agencies on tackling the surge of criminal activities in the Valley in recent times.



PM Bhattarai is scheduled to discuss ways to curb increasing cases of robbery and killings including that of Kapan-based jewelry shop owner Harka Bahadur Diyale with Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar at 5 on Saturday afternoon. [break]



Home Secretary Sushil Rana and all three security chiefs under the home ministry--the Nepal Police´s IGP Rabindra Pratap Shah, the Armed Police Force´s IGP Shailendra Kumar Shrestha and the National Investigation Department chief will also be participating in the meeting.
