KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today said initiations would be taken to induct people from music and art field into Nepali embassies in various foreign countries in a bid to spread Nepali music and art across the world.
Addressing the ninth academicians' assembly of the National Academy of Music and Drama in the capital, PM Dahal, who is also the patron of the Academy, said initiations would be taken to appoint cultural attachés in Nepali embassies in foreign countries.
The PM said he was aware of difficulties the Academy is facing for want of its own building, adding that he would take initiatives soon to resolve the problem.

Stating that literature and politics had indispensable relations, the PM said art and literature would help politics find a right track. He expressed his hope that Academy assigned with the responsibility of keeping country's geographical diversities and originality alive would further strengthen its role towards that end.
Academy Chancellor Bhakta Shrestha (Sarubhakta) said culture is the identity of any country and state should lay its special focus on the conservation of its culture. He demanded the government lend helping hand in the development of Academy's physical infrastructure.
Academy Vice Chancellor Shambhujeet Baskota drew the attention of the governments towards including Academy representative (s) in the state-level visits.
Academy member secretary Ganesh Rasik, presenting a progress report on Academy activities, said cultural and linguistic diversities was the special feature of Nepal and the Academy was committed to promoting such feature globally. RSS
