According to her, the vacancy announcement will be formally published very soon. It will also demand letter of intent from the eligible candidates before shortlisting them for examinations. This is a new process adopted by the Constitution of Nepal, 2015 for recruiting judges for district courts.

“The meeting held on Monday decided to allocate seats for three different groups to be appointed through different ways,” Poudel said adding, “The candidates shall appear for the examinations.” Altogether 38 positions of district judges are lying vacant. The meeting also set the date of examinations for January 30 to February 3 next year.
