PM Oli to hold all-party meeting at 5 pm today

KATHMANDU, May 26: As the country is battling the COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called an all-party meeting at 5 pm today.


The meeting will be taking place at the Prime Minister's Official Residence, Baluwatar, according to Surya Thapa, the prime minister's press advisor. However, he did not share the purpose and agenda of the meeting.

During the meeting, the prime minister is expected to share the government's ongoing efforts to contain novel coronavirus.


Likewise, Oli will seek the support of political parties inside the parliament to pass the constitution amendment bill registered in parliament that seeks to amend Schedule 3 of the constitution to revise Nepal's map in the national emblem in line with the new political and administrative map of the country.


The prime minister's private secretariat has invited the leaders of the political parties which are represented in parliament.


This is the second time PM Oli is going to hold an all-party meeting in 15 days. Earlier, he convened a meeting with the major political parties on May 13.
