PM Oli, UN Secretary-General hold meeting

NEW YORK, Sept 28: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today held a bilateral meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, in New York. PM Oli is currently in the United States of America attending the UN General Assembly.

NEW YORK, Sept 28: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today held a bilateral meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, in New York. PM Oli is currently in the United States of America attending the UN General Assembly. 


During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various aspects of assistance between Nepal and the UN, said a statement issued by the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the UN. Issues of a campaign to establish peace and Nepal's role in it were also discussed.

On the occasion, Secretary-General Guterres reiterated a pledge to continue UN assistance for Nepal to achieve its Sustainable Development Goals and in its restructuring, referring to its exemplary work to establish a democracy in a peaceful way. 


PM Oli extended gratitude to the UN for its support and assistance in the development of Nepal.
