PM Oli sends condolence message to his Japanese counterpart on killing of people in arson attack in Kyoto

KATHMANDU, July 19: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has sent a message of condolence to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the killing of innocent people in an arson attack at Kyoto Animation studio KyoAni in Kyoto, Japan.

In a condolence message on Friday, Prime Minister Oli also conveyed deep condolences to the bereaved family members and wished for the prompt recovery of those injured, according to a press statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The prime minister has expressed dismay at the tragic incident that happened at a popular centre of art and creation.


Condemning the incident, the prime minister said that the centre was shocked to hear that the centre was made subject to an inhumane attack while expressing his confidence that the perpetrator would be brought to justice. Thirty-three people were killed in the tragic incident that took place on Thursday in Kyoto.
