KATHMANDU, Jan 11: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has sent a message of condolence to the governor general of Australia, David Hurley, on the loss of human lives, floras and faunas, and large-scale displacement of people, extensive damages to property and other infrastructure by a bushfire.

In the message sent to the Governor General of the Commonwealth of Australia on Friday, President Bhandari expressed deep condolences and sympathies to the government and people of Australia and the families who lost their loved ones and property.
President Bhandari also wished for the success of the ongoing firefighting efforts of the government and people of Australia, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
