"An exciting match is taking place between Sudurpaschim Royals and Janakpur Bolts under the NPL. I wanted to be present at the cricket ground to watch the game. However, as I have to go to Itahari to attend a program that was scheduled months ago, I couldn’t be at the field," said Prime Minister Oli. "I will watch the final match on my mobile or other similar device. Thanks to all eight teams participating in the NPL."
While unveiling the NPL trophy, Prime Minister Oli mentioned that he remembers the players he met. He said, "I vividly remember the faces of all the players I met during the trophy unveiling."
Prime Minister Oli also commented that the NPL has become a major national event. "I had the opportunity to watch most of the matches. Winning or losing in a game is part of the process. The main thing is that it has played a role in branding Nepali cricket. It has also clearly shown that the level of play of Nepali players is improving," he added.
In the same statement, Prime Minister Oli thanked the officials of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) for organizing the NPL. "I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who has been active in its management and promotion and has contributed in various ways," said PM Oli at the end of the video statement.
