PM holds talks with Madhesi leaders

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal Sunday held discussions with the leaders of Madhes-based political parties, except Madhesi People´s Rights Forum, Nepal, regarding the role of the United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) and others issues.



Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Planning and Works Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar said that PM Nepal informed about the Nepal´s role in the United Nations (UN). [break]



During the meeting, the PM informed that the government will hold discussions with the UCPN (Maoist) for sending a single letter to the UN regarding the UNMIN´s role and tenure on the basis of consensus.



Gachchhadar said during the meeting discussions were held on management of the Nepal Army, purchasing logistics to the NA, and UNMIN´s tenure and jurisdiction.
