KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is going to participate in the fifth conference of least developed countries (LDCs) in Doha, Qatar on March 3.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Nepali delegation led by PM Dahal will go there on March 3 and return to the country on March 6. Sewa Lamsal, spokesperson for the ministry, said that PM Dahal will also participate in some United Nations programs during the conference. On this occasion, she said that PM Dahal will participate in the sideline meetings and bilateral meetings.
'Qatar supports Visit Nepal 2020 Year initiative'
During his stay in Doha, PM Dahal will also participate in programs organized by the Nepali Embassy and programs with the Nepali community.
During the fifth conference of LDCs, there will be eight round-table meetings and the Nepali delegation will participate in three of them. On March 4, PM Dahal will address a conference organized by Malawi, the chair of the LDCs.
Spokesperson Lamsal said that PM Dahal will deliver a national address as the 26th speaker during the 'General Debate' of the conference. The Nepali delegation will also participate in the side event between Nepal, Bangladesh and Laos, which are upgrading from least developed countries.
