Qatar, Oct 31 : President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who is on a four-day official visit to Qatar, attended a reception organised by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development on Wednesday. The Foundation's Vice Chairperson Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al-Thani welcomed the President.
President Bhandari and Sheikha Moza bind Nasser, the Foundation's Chairperson, held a courtesy meeting. During the meeting, the two held a discussion on bilateral cooperation and research on science, technology and food security between the two countries, said Shree Krishna Silwal, officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, who also attended the meeting.

The meeting also focused on cooperation between the two countries on women empowerment and child education. On the occasion, President Bhandari signed the visitor's notebook. The Foundation's Chairperson Nasser handed a token of love to President Bhandari.
Also present on the occasion were Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, expert at the President's Office Madhav Sharma, Foreign Affairs Secretary Shankar Das Bairagi and President's Chief Personal Secretary Dr Bheshraj Adhikari. RSS
