UML's Rawal stakes claim for the post of province chief
According to the Secretariat, contemporary political issues were also discussed between the two leaders. Rawal, who is also the leader of the Sudurpaschim UML parliamentary party, was elected as Chief Minister on January 11.
Rawal was appointed as Chief Minister with the support of CPN (Maoist Center), Nagarik Unmukti Party and RPP along with UML. But Chief Minister Rawal is speeding up meetings to gather votes of confidence. Nagarik Unmukti Party, which is decisive in the Far West, has increased Rawal's race after taking the stand that no vote of confidence can be given if their demands are not met.
At least 27 members should give him a vote of confidence. He is unlikely to get a vote of confidence if he is not supported by the Nagarik Unmukti Party.
