BAITADI, August 3: Sudurpaschim Province has recorded 50 new cases of coronavirus infections on Tuesday. According to the Sudurpaschim Province Health Directorate, 24 individuals out of 50 infected in the Province are India-returnees.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 689 persons were tested positive for the COVID-19.

The Sudurpaschim Province Health Directorate said 19 of those tested positive for the virus arrived home through Gaddachauki point, three from Gauriphanta and two from Jhulaghat border point. Remaining other infected persons are from Kailali and Kanchanpur.
Health Desks have been established in the border points to test those returning from India.
Chief of District Health Office, Baitadi Yogesh Prasad Bhatta said antigen test has been made mandatory to those returning home from India.
