MAHENDRANAGAR, June 19: Far-West State beat Gandaki State by nine wickets in the opening match of the Prime Minister Cup Women's T20 Cricket Tournament in Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur district.
Elected into bat after winning the toss, Gandaki State made meager 58 runs in allotted 20 overs losing all wickets.
In the chase of the 59 runs target, Far-West State achieved it in just seven overs at the loss of one wicket. Shila Regmi hit highest 19 runs for Gandaki State.
For Far-West State, Kabita Kunwar, Laxmi Saud and Janaki Bhattarai claimed two wickets each, while Kabita Joshi one. Kunwar made highest 21 runs for Far-West State. She was announced the 'woman of the match'.
