The PM urged them to act promptly to address the complaints lodged with Hello Sarkar, which receives about 200 complaints every day. As of Tuesday, Hello Sarkar has received nearly 4000 complaints.[break]
"People have more expectation from this government," PM said during a meeting held at Singha Durbar which was attended by two dozens secretaries.
"The government set up Hello Sarkar to listen to the concerns of the public and address their problems promptly. But due to lack of coordination among executive agencies, the government has not been able to do so effectively."
PM also asked high ranking government officials to change their working style and carry out their duties in a more disciplined and honest manner.
"Be transparent, change your working style and focus on delivering speedy services to the people," he told to secretaries, adding that the impact of Hello Sarkar should be visible at the grassroots level. PM also asked high ranking bureaucrats to inform him whenever they face legal obstacles in implementing decisions.
"If a legal factor obstructs you from carrying out good works, then simply let me know," he said, "We can amend regulations for a good cause."
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Madhav Ghimire asked secretaries and the heads and members of various government agencies to devote their entire energy to solve people´s problems.
"Nobody will trust and co-operate with you if you talk about big projects and huge plans but aren´t capable of addressing public´s petty complaints," Ghimire said.
Likewise, Secretary Leela Mani Paudyal briefed about the changes brought about by Hello Sarkar within a short span of time.
