KATHMANDU, July 26: The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) has started conducting hearing for acting Chief Justice Deepak Raj Joshi on Thursday.
In the meeting, Acting CJ Joshi refuted media reports questing his educational certificates and submitted a copy of his SLC certificate to the hearing committee.
Joshi also declined to answer the questions raised about court decisions from his bench stating that Parliament cannot discuss sub-judice cases. Similarly, regarding questions raised on the issue related to Ncell tax cases, he claimed that he was not involved it.
A total of five complaints have been registered at the Parliament Secretariat for the hearing of acting CJ Joshi.
Supreme Court’s senior-most Justice Joshi had assumed office as the acting Chief Justice on March 15 after former chief justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli lost his job due to age limit.
