KATHMANDU, July 16: The Sajha Yatayat, a public transportation service, is set to resume its services from today.
The public transportation services had come to a halt after the government had ordered lockdown on March 24. The 26 buses of Sajha Yatayat will ply on the roads in Kathmandu Valley in nine major routes in the first phase.
Let Sajha rise
The public vehicles will carry only 50 percent passengers of their total capacity, according to Sajha Yatayat’s manager Mahendra Pandey. Similarly, the drivers and assistant drivers must wear masks and use sanitizers and maintain social distancing during the operation.
Likewise, the passengers should also comply with the basic safety measures determined by the government to stem the spread of the deadly infection.
