A total of 109 photos are on display at the exhibition organized to promote tourism and cultural heritage of the Karnali region. The exhibition will continue till July 11. A part of the amount raised from the sales of photograph will go to five photographers whose pictures are being exhibited, while the rest (85 percent) will go for establishing an open museum in Jumla.
"The museum will preserve the cultural and archeological heritage of Karnali region," Raju Karki, president of KTDF-Nepal, said. Karki also said the forum plans to hold similar exhibition in other major cities of the country, including Pokhara and Biratnagar.
Photos at the exhibition bear a price tag ranging between Rs 2,500 and Rs 7,000.
