Petition against VVIP facilities

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court on Friday against the facilities being enjoyed by former prime ministers, deputy prime ministers and home ministers from state coffers.



Advocate Ram Chandra Paudel filed the petition claiming that such facilities are inappropriate for a poor country like Nepal.[break]



Paudel has demanded that such facilities be stopped for the former officials.



The Prime Minister´s Office, Constituent Assembly and the Ministry of Home Affairs have been made defendants in the writ petition.
