Pedestrian dies in auto-hit in Hetauda

Janak Rai was seriously injured after being hit by the auto (Na 2 Ha 2692) heading to Chuchche Khola from Hetauda Bazar at 6:30 am.

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: A pedestrian died after being hit by an auto (three-wheeler) this morning in Chaughada Bazar, of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-6. Shyamu Aryal, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) and spokesperson for the Makwanpur District Police Office, said that the deceased has been identified as Janak Rai, 68, of Santi tole.


According to DSP Aryal, Rai was seriously injured after being hit by the auto (Na 2 Ha 2692) heading to Chuchche Khola from Hetauda Bazar at 6:30 am.

He was immediately rescued and was rushed to Hetauda Hospital. Aryal said that after his treatment was not possible there, he was referred to the Old Medical College in Bharatpur, Chitwan, where he died during treatment. Police have detained the auto driver, Shankar Sarki, 31, of Santi tole.
