KATHMANDU, Dec 29: The Patan High Court has restrained Yashoda Foods from manufacturing and distributing noodles that closely resemble the trademark of Wai Wai noodles.
The court's joint bench issued an interim order on December 27, directing Yashoda Foods to cease producing noodles that resemble Wai Wai's packaging.
CG Foods, the company behind Wai Wai, knocked on the doors of court after Yashoda Foods released 'Current Noodles,' which bore a striking resemblance to Wai Wai's packaging.
As per the court directive, Yashoda Foods must withdraw the 'Current Noodles' from the market. Failure to comply will be considered contempt of court.
