KATHMANDU, Nov 13: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Democratic) Chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana has accused Kamal Thapa, chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, of being a stumbling block to the process of unification.

Speaking at an interaction organized by Reporters Club Nepal in the capital on Tuesday, Rana said that Thapa's stance to keep party name, flag and election symbol created hindrance in the party unification process.

However, Kamal Thapa has denied Rana's allegations saying that his statement is baseless and against the spirit of the party unification. "The cow, which is the symbol of entire Hindus, as an election symbol and commitment toward monarchy cannot be compromised and that these are the minimum terms and conditions he must agree to," Thapa tweeted.

The party unification between RPP Nepal led by Thapa, RPP Democratic led by Rana and Unified RPP Nationalist led by Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani has not yet been realized despite efforts by the top-notch leaders.

However, it is learnt that the top three leaders have agreed to Hinduism as state religion.
