Addressing a press conference organized in Palpa to inform about the plan to declare autonomous states, the Maoist party´s central advisor Hasta Bahadur KC said that the Maoists will exercise their ´Janasatta´ [people´s government] by launching autonomous states.

KC, however, said that the Maoist will first try to forge consensus with other political parties before taking up such a move. “We can still stop our program of announcing federal states should other political parties consider our demands,” he added.
KC said that there will be no consensus with other political parties as long as the parties do not agree to address the Maoist demands to form a national government and allow debate on a resolution in the parliament against the presidential move reinstating the then army chief.
KC said the Maoists are experienced in running parallel government.
