KATHMANDU, Nov 12: The sky will be partly cloudy in the hilly region and generally fair in the rest of the country due to the partial influence of the Westerly wind, said the officials of the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Meteorologist at the MFD Rojan Lamichhane said although it is partly cloudy in the hilly region, the weather is fair in the rest of the regions of the country today.

According to him, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly region on November 13, Monday and November 14, Tuesday. There are chances of light rain at one or two places of the hilly region and light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous region on Monday and Tuesday. 

Meteorologist Lamichhane said the weather will be generally fair during the Tihar festival time as there is no possibility of a new weather system setting in the country in the next few days.

"Although there is a possibility of somewhat cloudy weather due to the general influence of the Westerly wind, there is no likelihood of drastic change in weather during Tihar," he added.

The MFD officials stated in the weather bulletin for today that it will be partly cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi Province and generally fair in the rest of the country with chances of light rain at one or two places in the hilly region and of light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous region of the province.

Similarly, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly region and generally fair in the rest of the regions of the country on Monday with chances of light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous regions.
