KATHMANDU, July 22: Nepali Congress and CPN (Moist Center) alliance said it would not allow the budget bill to be passed even though the parties struck a deal to discuss the budget bill first.
Maoist Center leader and lawmaker Janardhan Sharma said his party will vote against the budget bill. He said, “CPN (Maoist Center) has already become an opposition party after pulling out of the government, the party will vote against the bill.”
Similarly, NC lawmaker Amaresh Kumar Singh also said his party will vote against the budget bill today in the Parliament.
Earlier, the parties had been deeply divided over which should be discussed first – either budget bill or no-confidence motion – in the Parliament.
The meeting of the major three parties held earlier today has arrived at consensus to discuss the budget bill first.
