KATHMANDU, June 11: The House of Representatives is scheduled to convene today at 1 pm after repeated disruptions caused by the ongoing visit visa scandal.
Since May 26, opposition parties have been obstructing the session, demanding accountability over the alleged misuse of visit visas. Despite several rounds of talks between political parties, no consensus has been reached so far.

On the agenda today, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is expected to table a proposal for general discussions on the annual revenue and expenditure estimates for the fiscal year 2025/26.
Additionally, Chairperson of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, Ramhari Khatiwada, is slated to present the committee’s report on the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2082.
The Parliament has failed to proceed with regular business recently due to the continued obstruction by opposition lawmakers.
