Parliament meeting adjourned till Wednesday

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: The Parliament meeting has been adjourned till Wednesday, according to the Parliament Secretariat.   

In a notice today, the secretariat said that the next meeting will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday. Earlier today afternoon, the parliament meeting turned unpleasant. Speaker of the House of Representatives Krishna Bahadur Mahara adjourned the parliament meeting for fifteen minutes from 1:30 pm to 1:45 pm after the Nepali Congress lawmakers demanded that they should be allowed to raise questions over the remarks made by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. However, Speaker Mahara said that today's session was not scheduled for question and answer.

Objecting the speaker, Nepali Congress lawmakers Minendra Rijal and Gagan Thapa among others demanded that all NC lawmakers should be allowed raising questions over Prime Minister Oli's remarks regarding the government's works. Amid hullabaloo, Speaker Mahara had adjourned the parliament meeting for fifteen minutes.
