KATHMANDU, Sept 12: The meeting of the House of Representatives has been postponed till September 12. Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota adjourned the meeting till 1 PM on September 14 after the CPN-UML lawmakers chanted slogans in the meeting on Sunday.
The main opposition party, CPN-UML started protesting as soon as the House of Representatives meeting started, claiming that Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota had played a role in splitting the party. CPN-UML strongly protested in Sunday's house session.

Speaker Sapkota said that he was following the constitution, act, law and rules of the House of Representatives of Nepal and urged the opposition lawmakers to create a conducive environment for holding the meeting.
Opposition lawmakers chanted slogans such as ‘Maintain parliamentary dignity’, ‘Maintain constitutional supremacy’, ‘Prohibit non-parliamentarians from entering’, ‘Parliament cannot function as it is’, among others.
