KATHMANDU, Feb 7: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) scheduled for today which was earlier put off for half an hour following the obstruction of the main opposition Nepali Congress has been adjourned till February 9.
The Federal Parliament informed about the postponement of the session till 1:00 pm of February 9 by pasting a notice.

With the commencement of the (first) meeting, NC lawmakers stood from their respective seats as a gesture of their concern and the Speaker granted time to lawmaker Meen Bahadur Bishwakarma to put his views.
Stating that the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a corruption chargesheet against party Vice President Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar being guided by political biasness, Bishwakarma said so the party could not cooperate to operate the session.
Following the protest, the Speaker announced the session adjournment by half an hour.
The party had obstructed the Thursday's Lower House session over the same matter. It may be noted that the CIAA on February 5 had filed cases against 175 people including Gachchhadar over the Lalita Niwas land procurement scam.
