Pakistan's Amar Ajiz's documentary bags first prize in Film South Asia

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: The film festival- Film South Asia- has concluded in the capital city on Sunday.

A film Alba nut Tree directed by Amar Ajiz became first and bagged the Film South Asia award, carrying the purse of US dollars 2,000.Blood Leaves Its Trail directed by India's Ifat Fatima became second while Tyrel directed by Kyaw Myao Lwin of Myanmar became the third.

The second and the third winners got the cash prize of US dollars 1,500 and 1,000 respectively.

On the occasion, the film Drawing the Tiger directed by Ramyata Limbu of Nepal was conferred the UNICEF Award.

A total of 43 documentaries were screed during the festival. RSS
