KATHMANDU, Dec 3 : Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination of Pakistan Dr Fehmida Mirza held a meeting with the Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Sunar today.
Dr Fehmida Mirza is on a three-day visit to Nepal to attend the 13th South Asian Games. During the meeting, Pakistan Minister Mirza congratulated Nepal for hosting the mega event with participation from SAARC countries.
She added that such events helped create an environment of mutual understanding and strengthen the roots of democracy in line with the spirit of SAARC. She also hoped for the reactivation of SAARC process.
The two Ministers discussed ways and means of enhancing bilateral cooperation. In that context, the Pakistan Minister said Nepal observing “Visit Nepal Year 2020” coincides with the 60th Anniversary of Pakistan-Nepal diplomatic relations. This would be a good opportunity to deepen the substantive cooperation in all areas, particularly sports and youth affairs. She also invited Minister Sunar to visit Pakistan in 2020.
Referring to the mutual goodwill existing between the governments and the peoples of the two countries, Minister Sunar expressed his strong desire to make full use of all opportunities to strengthen the people-to-people bonds through sports and youth interaction..
