KATHMANDU, March 23: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu on Friday organized a flag hoisting ceremony, marking the eve of the 78th National Day of Pakistan.
According to a press statement issued by the embassy, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Dr Mazhar Javed hoisted the national flag of Pakistan. On the occasion, special messages of President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi were also read out. Officials of the embassy, Pakistani community in Kathmandu and representatives of media participated in the ceremony.
The embassy also hosted a Pakistan Day Reception where Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun attended as the chief guest. The reception was attended by diplomats, Nepali dignitaries, senior government officials, prominent political leaders, Pakistani community members, academicians, members of think tanks, businessmen, bankers, senior media representatives and members of civil society.
Pakistan Embassy also organized a special musical night to celebrate Pakistan's National Day in which renowned Pakistani Singer Sara Raza Khan mesmerized the audience, according to the statement.
