KATHMANDU, March 23: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu organized a Flag Hoisting Ceremony on Saturday to mark 84th National Day of Pakistan.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Abrar H. Hashmi raised the national flag and messages from Pakistan's President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister were read out during the event.

President Asif Ali Zardari's message honored the visionary leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the sacrifices made by ancestors to achieve independence for Muslims, according to a statement issued by the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu. He also spoke about past achievements and prayed for an end to oppression and brutality faced by Kashmiri and Palestinian communities.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended greetings to Pakistanis worldwide on 'Pakistan Day', expressing the nation's determination to overcome challenges like inflation and terrorism, and work towards making Pakistan a hub of peace, progress, and stability.
Similarly, Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in his statement addressed Overseas Pakistanis, urging them to excel in their fields as their success contributes to the country's development. He highlighted Pakistan's stance on upholding the UN Charter and international law.
Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi emphasized the determination of Muslims in 1940 and ongoing efforts to make Pakistan prosperous. He welcomed guests, highlighted the strong Pakistan-Nepal relationship, and discussed efforts to strengthen this bond.
