PAC seeks clarification on transfer of non budgetary income

KATHMANDU, July 13: The Public Accounts Committee of the Legislature-Parliament on Wednesday directed concerned authorities to reply in writing within three days as to why the government had previously transferred non-budgetary income under the revenue head.



The PAC meeting held in Singha Durbar this morning issued a directive to this effect, to the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Auditor General.[break]



Earlier on, Finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari had rolled back the decision of switching non-budgetary income to revenue following its criticism that the government, made the transfer just to show an increase in revenue.
