In today´s meeting, lawmakers criticized the ministry´s functioning, saying the culprits were not identified though probe committee was formed to investigate into the theft of aircraft spare parts including fly over kits, wheels and others.
Speaking at the meeting, lawmaker Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani said the culprits were not found due to weak management of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)
He said fresh investigation should be initiated by arresting the officials who were on duty on the day of spare parts missing.
Similarly, lawmaker Surendra Pandey demanded to take stern action against B. N Jha, Om Prakash Yadav and Achyut Raj Pahadi for providing appointment letters to Indian citizens in the NAC.
Similarly, Dhan Raj Gurung of the Nepali Congress said that conspiracies were being hatched from national and international level to further wane the ailing national flag career.
Likewise, Tek Bahadur Basnet of the UCPN (Maoist) said the culprits should be let scot-free at any cost.
On the occasion, secretary at the ministry, Dr Ganesh Prasad Joshi said the probe committee will submit its report on January 24 and culprits will be booked based on the same report.
Joshi said, "Ministry is preparing to take stern action whoever was found guilty."
However, joint secretary at the ministry, Ranjan Krishna Aryal said there some people were not brought to book due to legal hassles.
