DAMAULI, Aug 2: Over 60 houses at Bhimad bazaar are at a high risk of landslide and inundation as the Seti River has been eroding the area in every rainy season.

The bazaar is the main trade hub of the south-west part of Tanahun district, said Buddhiram Lamsal, chair at the Seti River Control and Bazaar Management committee.

Due to this menace, traders are forced to leave the settlement in the night.

The committee secretary Raju Pariyar also complained that though they were reporting the risk of disaster to the concerned bodies, it is falling on deaf ear. RSS
