Over 20 private schools running illegally in Kanchanpur

KANCHANPUR June 11: More than 20 private schools are found running illegally in Kanchanpur district. This came to light in course of a week-long monitoring jointly carried out by the District Education Office, Kanchanpur and representatives of organizations of private schools.



Two private schools in Bhimdutta Municipality, one in Dodhara, five in Jhalari, three in Belauri, two in Krishnapur and seven in Tribhuvanbasti are found running illegally. Representatives of PABSON, N-PABSON, the organizations of the private and boarding schools, and the District Education Office had carried out the monitoring at all the private schools in the district on the basis of information that some of the private schools were operating without permission. District Education Officer Rakesh Shreevastav said that action would be taken against the private schools running illegally as per the Education Act. A total of 168 private schools are running with permission in the district.
