MALEKHU, May 2: One-way traffic has resumed on the Prithvi Highway from 10 AM today after 18 hours.
The vehicular movement on the highway was obstructed at the border of Dhunibesi Municipality and Thakre Rural Municipality in Dhading district along the highway after a motorable bridge over Ganeshkhola (rivulet) caved-in on Monday evening.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Dhading, Santu Lal Prasad Jaisawar, one-way vehicular movement has resumed after fixing gabion wire. Nepal Police, Nepali Army and locals worked the whole night to resume the traffic.

There is a long queue of vehicles at Dharke and its surrounding areas following the obstruction of vehicular movement.
Police have stopped vehicles heading towards Kathmandu at Jogimara, Malekhu, Ghatbesi and Adamghat bazaar.
Police said it would take a few more hours to send the vehicles to their destinations as hundreds of vehicles were stranded due to the obstruction of the highway.
