POKHARA, Jan 25: One person was killed after a tractor overturned in Pokhara. 

The deceased has been identified as Nal Prasad Lamichhane, 63, of Chawadi area in Pokhara Metropolitan City-33.

The tractor with the registration number Ga.1Ta 6664 went out of control and overturned on the road. Eyewitnesses said the rear part of the tractor crushed Lamichhane to death. 

The Gandaki Provincial Police Office said that he was immediately rescued and taken to Western Regional Hospital under Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences for treatment. However, he was pronounced dead shortly.

Senior Superintendent of Police Sharda Prasad Choudhary said that the police have taken the tractor and the driver involved in the accident under control. Police have started an investigation into the accident.
