KATHMANDU, Jan 16: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has urged one and all not to spread rumors about the plane crash.

The authority said that the Government of Nepal has formed an inquiry committee for an independent and impartial investigation and has instructed any person, organization, concerned agency and former employees not to talk about the incident related to the plane crash.

CAAN Spokesperson Jagannath Niraula said that it is not advisable to speculate about the incident, saying that the investigation committee will conduct an independent and impartial investigation and present its findings in a report.

He said that there is no need for any person to show expertise based on his own assumptions. He said that the investigation committee will bring out the truth behind the incident.

Spokesman Niraula asked not to believe anyone other than the press release published by the CAAN and the news broadcast by the official person of the authority.

He clarified that there is no truth about a live video that has gone viral on social media showing the final moments of crash from inside the plane. He claimed that the video is not of the recent crash that occurred in Pokhara on Sunday.
