One more contracts COVID-19 in Udayapur

UDAYAPUR, May 10: One more patient from Udayapur district was diagnosed with the coronavirus late Saturday evening.

A 43-year-old woman from Triyuga Municipality-3, Bhulke, whose swab sample was sent to Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory along with 331 others, tested positive, according to Mohan Subedi, the chief at District Health Office.

“An email sent from the Ministry of Health and Population at 8:15 PM on Saturday confirmed that she was diagnosed with the deadly disease,” he said, adding that the woman is the wife of one of the 28 COVID-19 patients in the district.

Meanwhile, the MOHP has also confirmed the case through its Facebook update earlier today. “The patient is in regular contact with medics and is in normal condition,” informed Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, assistant spokesperson for the ministry.

Three other cases were also confirmed in the district on Saturday morning.

With this, the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 cases in Nepal has climbed to 110. Of them, 31 have recovered while no casualty has been reported yet
