Since Gathasthapa on October 1, around one million people have left the Valley from five different exit points including Thankot, Kakani, Sankhu, Farping and Sanga, according to SP Lokendra Malla, spokesperson of the Metropolitan Police Division. The number of people leaving is increasing by the day as the festival approaches.

Meanwhile, tickets of passenger vehicles including bus, jeep and micro-bus are still hard to find for those yet to leave for their respective home. Going home for Dashain is not yet ensured for Shyam Ghimire of Dang who has not been able to get a ticket even after several attempts. RSS
