BHAKTAPUR, Oct 31: One person was killed and two others injured in a road accident at Chyamasingh in Bhaktapur on Sunday night. 

The deceased has been identified as Rupesh Thapa, 21, of Nala-2 in Kavrepalanchowk district. Hit by a motorcycle (Ba 47 Pa 5811), he breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Madhyapur Hospital at Thimi in Bhaktapur, according to Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur.

The accident occurred when the motorcycle hit pedestrians. 

Similarly, injured in the incident are another pedestrian Bindu Tamang, 23, of Kavrepalanchowk district and a pillion rider Sabin Khelata, 19, of Bhaktapur, informed Superintendent of Police (SP) Kiran Bajracharya. 

The injured are undergoing treatment at the same hospital. 

Police have arrested motorcyclist Nishan Haiju, 19, of Bhaktapur Municipality-2 and impounded his vehicle for further investigation into the case, SP Bajracharya said. RSS
