RAMECHHAP. Oct 16: A 13-year-old girl child died and 29 other people sustained injuries in a vehicle accident at Sarki Pandhero of Khadadevi-3 in Ramechhap district today noon.
The identity of the victim is yet to be ascertained while the injured ones were the passengers traveling in the public transport to their hometown in Ramechhap for Dashain celebration, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Ramechhap.
Ramechhap Bus Accident: Death toll rises to 12
The bus (Ba 3 Kha 4675) heading towards Galba in Ramechhap from Kathmandu met with an accident around 3:00 pm today while giving side to another vehicle coming from the opposite direction, said police.
Among the injured the condition of 12 is critical, shared Khandadevi Rural Municipality-3 Ward Chairperson, Pushkar Kumar Karki.
The injured ones were receiving treatment at the Bharosha community Hospital in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality in Sindhuli.
DPO, Ramechhap Spokesperson Sekh Adalat said that the ill-fated bus had fallen off some 50 meters off the road.
The accident site lies in some 30-kilometers westward from the Ramechhap district headquarters-Manthali, according to the police.
